I’ve had the chance to explore the neighborhood and see some new places since moving off campus near Chestnut Hill. Depending on how you’re feeling, Chestnut Hill’s strip of shops and eateries offers a wide variety of sections. Chestnut Hill provides everything you might want for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or perhaps just a little shopping. I suggest the Chestnut Hill shopping district to everyone, especially as spring approaches! Thai is a great way to go outside and explore some of my favorite spots on the strip, plus the stores are all within walking distance!
I still like to try new places to eat and shop, but I already have a few favorites. As Philadelphia is about to enter an exciting new season of baseball, I wanted to recommend one of my favorite shops, Chestnut Hill Sports Inc at 8628 Germantown Avenue. This striking Philadelphia sports store, which is clearly home to some of the nicest equipment I’ve ever seen, is situated at the start of the strip.
My favorite place to get a sweet treat is unquestionably Chill on the Hill on 5 E Highland Ave, Philadelphia. In addition to being delicious, this frozen yogurt shop is convenient because there aren’t many options of Frozen Yogurt around. This not only satisfies your sweet hunger, but it’s also a really adorable and entertaining spot to visit, especially in the warmer months.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite spots to visit is Occasionette. This store consistently draws attention, whether it’s me browsing or me making a purchase. Having discovered it during the holidays, this is a destination I would definitely recommend. There are a plethora of gifts available, both large and tiny. Admittedly, I spend more time browsing than I do making purchases, but it’s always enjoyable. There is a kids’ area in the back as well. Finding apparel or souvenirs that honor Philadelphia is always enjoyable because I have a few nieces and nephews. Check it out at 8521 Germantown Ave.
Last but not least, Iron Hill is unquestionably one of my favorite places to grab a wonderful lunch or dinner, as some of you may already know. There are many different dishes available in Iron Hill, depending on your mood. Every time I visit, the restaurant is consistently well-maintained, spotless, and offers excellent service. Iron Hill is undoubtedly a more expensive restaurant, but it’s a terrific option if you’re seeking something worthwhile.
Those are some of my current faves, however I still have a lot more places on the Chestnut Hill strip to see and explore. Possessing so many options nearby is fantastic, particularly for college students like us. Even when the pleasant weather returns, the strip is a terrific place to hang out with your friends outside.
