Marshall Manlove<\/a>\u00a0hypnotized students in the East Parlor last night. Volunteers from the crowd joined Manlove on stage to go under a trance.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOnce under the volunteers found themselves being lead through a Zoo, reacting to the smells and changing weather. In a room that was 70 degrees, people on stage believed it was less than thirty. Their teeth chattered and they rubbed their arms as if they needed a winter coat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same actions applied to smells good and bad. Good smells appeared to brighten the spirits of the volunteers while bad smells brought upon expressions of disgust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The audience reacted with laughter and shocked gasps as their classmates sub-consciously followed Manlove\u2019s directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe things people just say or not say while under the hypnosis are entertaining and funny. You can\u2019t script a funny look on somebody\u2019s face.\u201d Manlove explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manlove has been a professional hypnotist for over thirty years. He does shows as well as hypnotizing athletes to help them get over mental barriers. For example, he helped a collegiate catcher who transferred schools get over a fear of being yelled at by her coach. Upon transferring the catcher struggled to throw the ball back to the pitcher but after two sessions with Manlove she was back to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI love my job. Every time I go to work it\u2019s usually a party where everyone\u2019s having fun\u201d said Manlove. He continued saying \u201cIn my show instead of just saying do this or do that. I take the contestants on a journey. For example, I took them on the experience of the Zoo and the boat ride.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
